Summer 2019 in NYC, shout out to eater.ny for most the food recommendations.
Note - This is only the halfway mark of the summer.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The fish was amazing and it had a nice tartar sauce that was very unique in flavor. Most tartar sauces are usually a little less or more of some ingredients. The chips were pretty mediocre.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Just the fish was priced very well, and I would go eat here multiple times a week for it.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Had a nice English vibe, but never been to England I could not tell. They also have an outside bench on the sidewalk, which gives it a big plus.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Can definitely see myself going here multiple times with people or by myself since good fish is hard to get.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The food was pretty good diner food, lots of options as well.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - About as affordable as it can get given location.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The cooks are really nice, especially the guy in the morning, hes got a real good personality and people go there just to see him.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Compared to Veselka prices, it is a little higher I felt like, but its a quality diner and they have a special place in my heart.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Was a solid NYC slice.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Its NYC slice that is a little famous, so a little more expensive.
Atmosphere ⭐️ - Nothing special about the restaurant.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - Compared to my favorite Joe’s, it pales in comparison.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The taste of the chicken sandwich was very unique, which given the nature of chicken sandwiches it is hard to stand out.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - It was like 5 bucks in NYC, but it was also LES so that makes it cheaper.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The inside and outside had very good vibes.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I would go here again if I lived here full time, and if I live near the area would stop in for a sandwich every once in awhile.
Food ⭐️ - It was just pancakes.
Price/Taste ⭐️ - It was like $20 pancakes.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - Had a nice counter areas with big windows and friendly cooks.
Overall ⭐️ - Seems like a tourist trap or just rich white people trap.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pretty solid curry combo here, not as good as Go-Go Curry which is to die for.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - Was on the pricey side for the whole meal, does not seem like comfort food prices.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really nice counter space and good music.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I would go here every once in awhile in the area since you cannot beat some good curry.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - This was tasty, but did not really make a lasting impression on me. The tofu was really good however, and the combo of nuts with the sauce was really good.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Was fairly cheap for a good and decent meal.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - Restaurant was a standard small NYC restaurant.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - I am not really dying to get back here, but might hit it up because of the cost is low every so often.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The gnocco dish was very good and they have refills on iced coffee.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Refills on iced coffee, thats it.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - They have a seating area out front, a big window in the front area, and a garden area. Very good for hanging around Tompkins.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Definitely recommend this place for working, reading, eating, or hanging with friends.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Been here a few times and everything they have is just really good.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Its Chinatown prices for high quality Chinese baked goods and whatnot.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - Is a bakery, so it is more so for leaving. They have a sign that even says leave after 30 minutes.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Been here multiple times and will probably go when in the area for a snack or slushie.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - Katz’s is definitely 2x better than this, not a fan of the bread either, meat was good but not amazing. Only 2 stars because it is relative to Katz’s.
Price/Taste ⭐️ - Katz’s was about the same price for more food.
Atmosphere ⭐️ - Was just one table in an oddly themed restaurant.
Overall ⭐️ - Have no reason to go here as long as Katz’s is standing.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Japan takes breakfast and coffee to another level.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I paid a lot for the coffee, but the food is reasonably priced for how good it is.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really aesthetic kissaten, everything has been thought about in that restaurant for design.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Highly recommend to check this place out asap.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really good flavors, but not anything that gave me a huge desire to go back like the next day. They have very good loooking breakfast food as well. PS shout out to them for the free smoked plum juice, very interesting flavor for a drink that works well.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - No complaints on this, was pretty standard East Village prices.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - Was a standard NYC small restaurant.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really good and unique flavors that not a lot of restaurants I have been to have, but there is a step to take it above.
Food ⭐️ - Was fairly standard ramen.
Price/Taste ⭐️ - Expensive for standard ramen
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really wholesome environment and a very familial type of place, good for large groups.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - Place is nice to go, probably has more options and things to try that they have good food, but compared to Momofuku the ramen was lacking.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - For something called wagyu ramyun, it tasted as good as I think those flavors can be taken with their own unique style to it. Also note, the beef is raw and then the broth cooks it over the course of the meal, just gotta let it sit then start eating the stuff in the bottom and circulate. High IQ.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Wagyu is really expensive, but other options on the menu are very good prices for a Michelin starred restaurant.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The bar area was like the SoHo version of a ramen bar, very chic, but did not have the identity of the design figured out.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The most affordable Michelin star restaurant. I also got a free glass of Rose from the couple next to me, so it made it feel like it was fate to go there that night, but I was also slapped and just wanted food and just said fuck it, $60 ramyun gotta be worth it. It was.
Food ⭐️⭐⭐ - The chicken wings and the banchan were very high quality taste.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐⭐ - Was very reasonable priced food, I ordered too much thinking they would give me less chicken wings and I forgot about the banchan at Korean restaurants, so it was a lot of food, but priced well. They have interesting drinks and good happy hour prices, which seems to be the move.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐⭐ - It is a basement level establishment, with a nice half-open design.
Overall ⭐️⭐⭐ - Going here for happy hour is the move because they have really good drink options to pair with solid fried chicken.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - The food was almost good. There was a lot of overlap between menu items, but the dish I got tasted good, but was hard to eat and got boring to eat after a few bites for some reason.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - Was priced pretty standard but the taste was not too good.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Restaurant was designed very well and is good for just hanging out and getting coffee too.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - The food items had a lot of ingredient overlap, the taste was unique, but no where near satisfying. The flavor profile has better avenues than what they are doing.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - High quality diner food, they do really good potatoes here though.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - Diner food on the pricey side, most likely location and the fact that there are enough rich New Yorkers.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Nice indoor diner with great outdoor seating in West Village.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Another solid NYC diner option, most old school diners are disappearing so it is good to have this one in the more upscale neighborhoods.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pretty solid German food, very good options for food and beer.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Reasonably priced, would eat here frequently for some good beer and food combo.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Front half was a bar area, back half was a massive open wooden picnic table area, great for large parties.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really cool German bar and food place except it closed like 2 days after I went.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Lots of good Japanese dessert options, very good flavor combos as well.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Was reasonably priced dessert food, expensive-ish for LES.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Nice wall art and cute/fun decorations.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Would come back again, but nothing to set it above other dessert places.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really good options for making a salad-esque meal with lots of different meats, veggies and fishes, all tasting really good.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Priced pretty well given the neighborhood, but expensive for the amount of food I would say.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Restaurant had pretty good design, half open vibe
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pretty good, might come back once in awhile, but it was not anything crazy except that they have a nice pick your own menu.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Ube ice cream is the number one ice cream next to the pandan flavor at Chinatown Ice Cream Factory. The oreo combo is very good, and I am sure all their other options are really good.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pretty well priced for one of the more unique ice cream places and also best tasting.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - Was a little too bright in the restaurant, felt like year 4000 with all the white.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Chinatown reigns supreme with a new, really good ice cream option to the neighborhood.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Each slice was like a 3 course meal. You got the sauce and cheese all in one bite in the front of the slice. The middle of the slice was like a chewy in a good way slice of bread with sauce on it, and the whatever dough they use goes really well with the flavor of being burnt.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pretty expensive, but it was also the best pizza I have ever had so far.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really nice high cielings, big bar with a nice mirror, and nice tiling around the place. The lighing was also done really well, and there is a nice big glass entrance.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - This is a must go pizza place, but make sure you go early since they only make a limited amount of dough each day to maintain the highest quality pies.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The steak mazamen was decent, the sauce in it was the main taste, but there was not enough. This seems to be a Japanese version of Italian pasta, but they have not committed to that entirely yet. Commit and get lost in the sauce.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pretty standard pricing for an upscale place with a very unique dish.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The one large tabel with a glass front was very aesthetic and familial.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - There was nothing crazy good, it was just very good. Steak ribeye is overplayed and does not taste that well on its own, it needs more sauce to play with the flavor of the steak.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - 4 stars just for how good that pork bun was. They went heavy on the grilled onion in the bbq pork and it pays off.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Chinatown prices are unbeatable.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Large bar and large areas for medium sized groups, very loud and lively place to be.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Oldest Chinatown restaurant is still serving hits for good prices it seems.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Thai curry is very good, except I wish they played with the spicy / sweet contrast of curry and coconut milk in this. The thai iced tea was very good.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The thai iced tea was expensive, curry reasonable. They have an interesting happy hour of 1 skewer for each drink like Spanish tapas bars do.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Not sure what this place is, if its a bar or restaurant, but the big open front of it is a huge plus.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Would definitely come here for skewers at happy hour, and for some solid Thai curry which is my favorite.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - A really high quality dosa, the ratio of dosa to stuffing is not perfect though.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Its a food cart that is priced well, but hes a little famous so he deserves higher prices.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - You get to see the mans big smile in Washington Square Park and wait in line with other eager people. There needs to be more street carts in the city, especially parks.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The dosa was not the best dosa you can get, but made very good. He might need a second hand sometime though because his line is so long during the summer.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - Lots of options for onigiri, so it is more hit or miss on the options, but they could do better on the taste.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - Was priced well, just taste was not too amazing.
Atmosphere ⭐️ - There really is not a theme or idea behind the design, more of a stop and go place.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - I would be down to go back and try it (went when they opened), since its good and healthy to go food.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - Both of these had a lack luster texture of not too soft but not too crunchy, almost a weird soggy gray area and that let me down the most.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - Kind of expensive, but most likely because of the area.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - The bar was against the wall and not towards the grill area, which is dissapointing.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - A decent location for Japanese street food specialties, but nothing made me want to go back.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - It was a fairly standard burger, theres just a whole lot of it.
Price/Taste ⭐️ - Was very expensive, too much burger for a single serving, and there was nothing unique about it.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Cooks and servers were nice, the design was thought about and had some funny signs.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - There are a lot of better burgers than this in the city and especially around the country. It seemed just like a regular beef burger anyone can make.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - holy shit that was the best fried chicken. The Korean flavors in their sauce and the perfect frying of the chicken and whatever batter they use are the best combination.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The half order is enough for 2 people easily.
Atmosphere ⭐️ - Did not care, it is a chain.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I would go here once a week if it was not bad for my heart. I wish there was a 1/4 size, but if you go with people remember 1/2 size order is enough for 2.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - Seemed like pretty standard gyro and decent fries.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Prices are very good for location and for some solid food.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I really liked the location, the openness, and the diner feel of it.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - Good spot for some decent gyros and fries.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The oyakodon was very ok. The udon was amazing.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The udon noodles are priced well, but can get expensive if you order a lot.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Very Japanese style restaurant, some tables and counter space. Also had really good chairs.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The dish I got was a letdown, the best part about it was the rice but that was about it.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Good soft serve and supposed to have the best egg cream, I would say so too. Probably because they use the best seltzer.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Classic desserts on Tompkins, very well priced.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Theres shit all over the wall that just shows how long its been around.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Theres nothing wrong with getting dessert here.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - 2 sandwiches and 1 watermelon juice, and the combinations of flavors on the sandwich, the richness of each one, and the great care for texture makes eating any of their food amazing.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Everything is priced really fairly, most likely because of Alphabet City location.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - They really thought about their design, giving it a Nordic vibe, but also theres the feel that you are still in Manhattan, a perfect blend of both food plus location.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - One of the best restaurants I have been to in NYC so far. One of the few places offering Nordic dishes that taste amazing, have unique flavors, perfect textures, and the dishes themselves are full of colors and aesthetically pleasing to look at. Definitely a top 5 restaurant. They could put in some work for perfecting these dishes and coming up with their own and easily get a Michelin star in the future.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - The soba was pretty ok, the drinks are very good here. Hopefully other dishes they have are better however.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - The drinks are priced well, but the food felt too expensive for it being ok.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really nice bar area for eating and some good areas for medium sized groups as well.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Would recommend to come here more for drinks plus snacks then for a meal.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Lots of good create your own options for ice cream, just not as good as Chinatown or Milkcow.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Standard ice cream prices for quality ice cream.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - Nothing special about it except some nice wall art.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pretty good affordable ice cream, best part is the customization of you ice cream.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - A very solid slice of NYC pizza.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Priced well for St Marks Place.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Really nice open area, perfect for summer nights and just hanging out pre or post bars.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - My goto quick eat in East Village, plus one of the better restaurant views in the city since its on a corner.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - Standard Korean fare.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - A little expensive, but it is Midtown.
Atmosphere ⭐️ - Could barely talk to anyone right next to me because the acoustics are so bad, had to yell practically. Has a large space for groups but was useless.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - Nothing really special about the food, very standard.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - Bagel was ok, nothing to rave about. Lots of options is the biggest plus here.
Price/Taste ⭐️ - Was very expensive for an ok bagel.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - Nice eating area, decent vibes.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - Lots of options for bagels, pretty much infinite options for bagels and toppings.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Every dish was really well executed on, and they even have new dishes. There are so many options for food and different sizes of food, drinks, and even desserts.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - You can try a bunch of small plates, share big plates with a group, and get good drinks and desserts, all for very good prices.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The bar is very aesthetic and a center piece of the restaurant. Really nice seating area, but the bar counter area is the best with the large open glass LES fronts like most places, and the window even swings open.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - After playing around with dishes and getting customers, the chefs here can put in some more effort if they wanted and get a Michelin star most likely with a tasting menu, which would be easy to create from some of the best hits of the menu right now.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - A lot of really good yakitori options and beer options. They have way more food options than just yakitori that are pretty good presumably.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - A few skewers along with beer makes for a good chill night out.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Nice counter area in front of the grill makes for a good place to bring friends.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The food is ok and prices are ok, it is just a really solid place for some yakitori and beer.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Got a few things, and were hit or miss seemingly. the Cheese knishes seem to be the move.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - Priced fairly well for getting a quick fix, not something to do for a meal.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Old establishment, lots of history, and a really good diner feel.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Come here for a quick fix of some good baked goods, the cheese knishes were very good and would recommend those.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - The slices were very ok. The only thing that was really good on the pizza were the pepperoni cups themselves.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - The pizza did not cost that much, but it was not that good. Well priced I guess.
Atmoshpere ⭐️ - There was not anything special about it besides that people like the place. The counter was hard to eat at too.
overall ⭐️⭐️ - Was not too impressed. Maybe will go back sometime and not get the thicker slice, thinner with the roni might be the move.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - All of the food I had was very good. The sashimi was prime, the washu beef was also an interesting flavor of beef.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - It was a bit expensive, but you pay for the exclusivity of the place.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The place was very laid back. Besides the bar, all the seating was very comfy, especially the larger tables which were pretty much couches.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I really enjoyed the experience. The staff was very friendly and helped guide us through the appropriate amount of food to order.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The ice cream I got was a good flavor, but it was not anything mind blowing or innovative. Seems like just really solid, existing ideas.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - It is a little expensive for everything, but this area and especially the Japanese food can get expensive here.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The shop itself is really small. The interior is cute and it has a little green bench across from it which makes the place feel bigger.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I enjoyed the desserts and people who have been here as well.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - All the dishes we got were pretty great. They were portioned well too. There were flavors all over the place as well, some Chinese, Indian, etc.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Surprisingly very affordable for lunch, would definitely come here a lot.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - They had some great outdoor seating which is a win.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - One of the better lunch places I have been to, in a city where Thai food is not as big as I think it should be.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The chicken was phenomenal, it was just a bit salty and the seasoning at some points was unneven.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pretty affordable place, but for lunch and the location was not crazy cheap.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Is a classic diner like feel.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I would come here a lot just for a solid meal.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - The dishes we got were mostly ok. The chicken dish was red meat, which is phenomenal. Everything else was ok or either not that appetitizing.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - The dishes we got were not too good, but I think other dishes might be better.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The restaurant had great outdoor seating and very large, nice indoor seating inside.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Finding other dishes that are really good might be the move, would come back to try some more.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I give them a 3 because they are a restaurant that is going for a star type deal. The entrees at lunch seemed all to be pretty average. The starters and desserts were amazing however.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - For an upscale lunch spot, the prices were pretty good.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The interior was really nice, but the best part was the great large party seating that we got and the lighting was super soft.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Would definitely come back with someone here again for a nice lunch spot, maybe dinner too if it does not cost too much.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - It was pretty good.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - It was actually very affordable. This much fish for the price was doable.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - There was nothing any special really.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️- For some quick and pretty good sushi at a good price, this place seems unbeatable for that category.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - The dishes here are all quick Thai bites. You can pick and choose a bunch of options/
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - I was not too impressed by the food and the prices were a bit high as well. Seems like they are riding off the hype of the main restaurant.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - The interior was nothing too special.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - I could see myself coming by once in awhile to try out new things.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - The food was just solid I would say.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - Seemed to be pretty reasonable for breakfast food and given how popular it is.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - They have really nice outdoor dining, but besides that it was ok.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - It is an ok place, but I could not really see myself going here too often.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Had a lot of cool ice cream flavors and all were capitalized on well. Not the biggest fan of most ice cream.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Pretty affordable for lots of good ice cream options.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The ice cream shop looks like an old ice cream parlor.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Would definitely come here for some ice cream, I don’t get ice cream that often, so I have no reason to go here over Chinatown Ice Cream Factory.
Food ⭐️? - The bread dish I got, insanely good. One of the best breads. The couscous, not that good. It was below average for taste.
Price/Taste ⭐️ - The couscous was outrageously expensive, like 40 dollars. Would not recommend going here for this. All the entrees were pretty expensive to be honest.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️ - The place had a nice interior, but squeeky clean interiors are kind of boring now.
Overall ⭐️⭐️ - Gets 2 stars for the bread honestly.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - The food was ok, but honestly would not say it was better than panda Express or some of the Chinese places on campus.
Price/Taste ⭐️ - It was in SoHo so it was really expensive.
Atmosphere ⭐️ - There was nothing really special about it.
Overall ⭐️ - Would rather go to panda than there, so that says something.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Everything I got was amazing. The goat cheese and honey dish ended up being melted, and the cheese and honey was combined. The burger was just regular American style toppings, but the burger was a great organic beef.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Everything was super affordable as well. The appetizers were seemingly expensive, but it turns out that they were enough for 2-3 people.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The interior had a little bit of counter space and table space. It had a really nice big window on the front like a lot of Alphabet City does. The walls were all white brick as well, where white was the common theme.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - One of my favorite restaurants I have been to, the people were nice and the food was amazing. No reason not to come here all the time besides the fact that you gotta try other places.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The food was all pretty above average, with lots of options. Seems like salmon and caviar are the moves here.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - Was a little expensive, but seems like it is because it is a New York staple now.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Was a nice diner, that was squeeky clean.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Do not really have any complaints, everything was pretty good, just did not blow my mind.
Food ⭐️⭐️ - The food was just about average for me. There was nothing too special about it, but it is nice to have all the options that taste good.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The food was priced well, not sure if it was because of Brooklyn.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I really liked the whole restaurant atmosphere. The dining was nice, they had some anime figurines and manga on the walls too.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Never in Brooklyn, but would come back to try more food that they have.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Was not too imrpessed by the food. The chicken sandwhich was solid but was way too massive.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - For LES it was a bit expensive.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Kind of just a regular diner, but had great windows and outdoor seating.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The food we got was ok, but there restaurant would be a nice place for small bites and coffee while reading or working.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The croissant was fantastic, was a little big and almost too rich.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️- The price was reasonable considering how aesthetic everything is.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The place was very open and spacious, almost looked like an art gallery.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- Highly recommend going here and splitting your item with people.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Very good options for Japanese food with really good Yakitori.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Priced pretty well, but can get out of hand real quick if you order a lot.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I love the counters by the grill.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Nice late night spot to get some good Japanese food.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Very solid burger, best part was they gave bacon with the fries.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Monday is burger beer and fries for 25 dollars.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The restaurant has a pretty unique design, but it is a little too nice.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Would definitely come back a few times for the monday special.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - All the food we got was above average. Not many Filipino restaurants in NYC, so it was really nice to have the different flavors.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️ - The price per dish was a lot, except the food could easily have been split between people. Each entree should instead be considered for 2 people. Family style is the move.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - It was a nice place, upscale look, but they have some interesting art on the walls that made it nice.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Would definitely come back here again, try some more things. It was pretty expensive since we thought 1 entree is for 1 person.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I just go here for some yakitori and beer. It is a bit more expensive than Taisho, but they also have some different options.
Price/Taste ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Skewers all around 3 dollars and good happy hour prices.
Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The interior is one of the best interiors in the city to hang out at. It looks like you are outside in Japan almost.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - There is plenty of seating, plenty of quality food, and a great interior. It is also next to my favorite coktail bar.
